Love Gibran, but not this excerpt at all. Remember his love affair? They were seldom together. I believe it was she who was always abroad. He did not have a fulfilling and satisfying love experience with his lady as far as I have read--even their love letters were a disappointment to me. At best it was a friendship...but as the poem says, not a bond...how depressing...Oh and yes Kahlil was depressed, I believe. Wise man in many important matters, however.
