A simple guideline is this:

You can add as much or keep it simple as you want.
People sometimes have personal songs or readings in between "highlights".

I am glad it is your first time. Let it be your last. Love is not conditional and marriage is not either. if you have problems such as the worst case scenario Adultery, Sex Addiction or anything but maybe being physically abused then stay married. Work through it. Obviously something went wrong along the way or it is from his/her past. Too many people twist the words of the Bible and say that Adultery is the only reason to get Divorced. What they are saying is that the Lord is telling people Love and Marriage is conditional. Remember bad time and good time, sickness and in health, richer or poorer. This means you stay together through everything. Don't have to much pride to work things through no matter what people say. They haven't walked in your shoes. No one should judge anyone else except themselves. Give yourself to your husband, let him know that you will stand by him through everything. Don't try and control him or tell him how he may provide for you or the family. Only offer suggestion. Men are sensitive when it comes to feeling like a man and they believe they should know what is best for their family. Be a cheerleader for him but don't be afraid to tell him when he has done something wrong. Compromise is huge is a marriage. See his family as much as he sees yours. Get to know his side well and becomes friends with as many members of his family as you can. Call them to see how things are going and to have lunch or just hang out. He should do the same. Don't forget to have US time. What I mean is a date night. Whether it is 1 time a month or once every two weeks. You need to remember why you two are together. Don't lose touch and if one feels neglected in the relationship then you start to have problems. Communicate and don't beat around the bush. Get to the point, be bold but don't be too aggressive or mean. Say how you feel and live life together and not alone. I hope this helps.
