    ANGRY 2013-12-06

  • Meh

I think this is kinda sweet, telling someone you place then above yourself..

    Alex 2013-09-10

  • Different is good

I'm not a big fan of the lifemate part just because i feel that gives it more of a animalistic side to it, but I love the fact that it's very different, something you probably won't ever hear to much. I love how it states the your love is for an eternity, rather than till death do us part and that your committing everything to the other. My protection, my allegiance, my heart, my soul & my body. Who cares if it's a chessy rip off of some books, are you telling me none of you ladies have ever ripped something off to use for your own our did some real big cheesy love thing for yours...???
---So if you like it go for it!

    Kayc 2012-12-09

  • A little BDSM

Hey there's something for everyone. If you're into the darker side of things, this goes perfectly for that. And yes, it's straight out of Christine Feehan's books.

    Nothing wrong 2012-10-15

  • Not that bad

This Is from the dark series from Christine Feehan hehe I love these book it's not that bad

    Lizzy 2012-08-20

  • Perfect

I am his/ he is mine... fits me and my fiance perfectly

    Nikki 2012-07-21

  • love it

I honestly love this, if you are marrying someone then you do belng to them, you are giving your heart and soul to them so it is theirs. Just as you will be their wife they will be your husband, YOURS i think this is very appropriate.

    sarah 2012-07-18

  • awesome

I am so goin to do this at my wedding I was just talking to my Fiance about this yesterday

    emily 2012-07-07

  • The Best

I am a geoligist and an explorer...this is so fitting for our upcoming nuptuals. "I claim You", reminds me of when we find a valuable ore deposit...just great!

    Matty 2012-06-20

  • horrible

This is horrible. I'm not to be owned. And i don't want allegiance.

    jen 2012-04-09

  • I Claim You

This is beautiful but I too have read Dark Series. We may use this for our own wedding for both of us love reading the series and have all the books awaiting each new one. Thanks for putting this out here.

    Lady Sharlyne 2012-03-09

  • nice

i like these vows. me and my man have an understanding between each other. we were made for eachother. and there is no way now that either of us could be with anyone else...alive. we own eachother. and thats that.

    thecountess 2012-01-10

  • heh

    I actually like this.

    Vala 2011-12-14

  • BDSM VOWS

THIS IS PERFECT FOR A NON TRADTIONAL COUPLE WHO SHARE THE LOVE AND LIFE STYLE OF BDSM.

    MRS. WRIGHT 2011-09-06

  • Wonderful...

I will be using this vow at my wedding, for nothing makes me happier than to claim him and for him to claim me, before God and all else.

    Kit 2011-07-19

  • You Ck

I would be horrified if anyone said these words to me in front of my friends and family.

I'm not a piece of lost property! I don't need to be "claimed"

    Lee 2011-06-16

  • I Plagiarized You

That is what the title should be, as it was taken from the Dark series books from Christine Feehan, like Anna said.

    Holly 2011-06-11

  • I like them

I like them. For someone who is in an alternative lifestyle, they are wonderful. I used something similar in my own wedding.

    Maya 2011-05-05

  • all of life

this sounds to me to be a Dom to sub relation ship and in that relation ship you do own the other they are taboo but still excist unless you ahve been there dont say its wrong

    synthetic 2011-05-05

  • Cool

I like the strength of 'I claim you'. Said the right way, it's an expression of love, commitment, and desire.

    Sara 2011-04-02

  • We love this

We love this vow and are going to use it, though we might change a couple of the words. When you get married, you do give up a little piece of your individuality in favour of the richness of the partnership, you do claim each other in a very real sense. The power of love in this vow is tangible. BTW, anyone who does not understand that marriage is a contract has never been divorced!

    Deb 2011-03-20

  • Beautiful

This i do NOT believe to be the worst... with the background I come from this to me sounds amazing because the "I Claim you" is as a life mate. The wording is not wrong those who say it is are taking it out of context. It should be followed with a kiss under the moonlight... naturally.

    Kitty 2010-11-27

  • Rip off

Straight out of a romance novel. But I do love it though.

    Jane 2010-10-26

  • heres a better vow

I love you with all my being, I want to be with you forever. my heart, my soul, my life, and myself i give to you. I will love you 'till the end of time and beyond.

    Amber 2010-09-10

  • Well

It may not be perfect for everyone, but for a couple like my fiancee and I who are major fans of the book and met through our common interest in the series, it makes sense.

    chat 2010-09-05

  • Wow

This is not good at all and needs to be deleted... too standard. too stupid. Doesn't sound like something to say at a wedding.

    Katie 2010-04-05

  • belonging

I think these vows are perfect in marriage you belong to each other and this illustrates that.

    sarah 2010-01-07

  • Sorry girls

I am sorry girls but in the past the man's wife was considered his property. So claiming his bride was litterally owning her. Now if you want to go even more old school then the marrage was a "contract" inbeteen families. Sorry ladies, it is only in the past 140 years that you have risen from being considered property to equals in the marrage.

    Russell 2010-01-04

  • EEEWW

So LAME! Seriously. Those books are raunchy. Why would you want to shape you wedding after them?? If you were a stupid vampire maybe this would be ok. Only a weirdo would want to read this at their wedding.

    Amanda 2009-10-09

  • Like it

I actually kind of like this vow. Then again, I am all about Christine Feehan's novels.

    Bloodstone 2009-06-06

  • what if..

what of everyone took there marriage vows so serious.. bet there would be alot less divorce's...seems like everyone is afraid to love and give them selfs to the one that love's them...what a shame.

    Tara 2009-05-11

  • cheap

it's like you say it then i will say it.. i need something from the heart, something moving and something with love and meaning... this vow is cheap and not what i am looking for

    April 2009-04-23

  • passionate

I like these. People think of their life in different ways, and "claiming someone as your own" is both a very old tradition, and a new way to express passion.

    eliza 2009-03-29

  • Sweet

I think this is very sweet and I like it a lot. Why post negative comments on something related to love nonetheless?

    Nadine 2009-02-19

  • Not that bad

I didn't see anything wrong with "I claim you". When you get married you are "claimed".

    Angela 2009-01-03

  • Wonderful

I absolutely love it. I love the possessive quality, even if everyone else hates it and even if it is from a book. There's a level of love that transcends anything that can be put into words. Great.

    Rachel 2008-12-27

  • love it

i love these and have wanted to use them since i first read the books anna is talking about

    amy 2008-11-03

  • yuck

Ownership has NO place in a wedding ceremony!!

    everlearning 2008-09-11

  • Thank you

My best friend has used that for her vows and I have been seriously thinking of it too. Yes this is the vow used in Christine Feehan's romance novels, but if you've read her novels then you would know the love behind those words.

    Janine 2008-08-10

  • It fits

I'd have to say that these are actually some of the more powerful vows that I've ever seen. Saying "I do" isn't a partial committment. It's kind of one of those all or nothing things in life. It shouldn't be taken lightly and honestly when you say you want to be with someone and no one else for the rest of your life and you want them to be with you and no one else... yeah... you're kinda staking a claim there. I think that's the way it should be. The man that I'm going to marry ... he's "my love" and I tell people that I'm his.
    All or nothing both ways.

    Sammi 2008-06-14

  • thats about right.

this about describs what a marige is, its claiming each other to let no other have him or her, you people are just stuck up, you dont get it, thats what it is really about. so if u cant say nothin nice dont say any thing at all.I win!!! so ya hell ya i would use this, power to the people that agree with me. I win again!!!

    ashley 2008-05-14

  • perfect

First and formost the rest of you who don't like this are obviously not big readers. It's a great tribute to the love and emotions that Christine Feehan write about. This vow is perfect! It's beautiful and talks about a love that most people don't understand and don't feel. My fiance and I have our rings engraved with "For all eternity" so to have these vows saying it as well just makes it even better. I truly love this saying. It is also a woman saying she is claiming a man so it's not just about the man claiming the woman. Jesus people!

    Kelly 2008-04-02

  • works in a BDSM context

Not so much for a traditional wedding, but great for alternative Lifestylers.

    Sara 2008-03-18

  • Wow...

Bound to me for all eternity? Whoa! Why does that sound crazy? We'll be bound for our earthly life, but after that, who knows?
It was hard enough to get past "I claim you..." I almost fell out of my chair...

    Nothing 2008-03-10

  • To each their own

I really do think that everyone will view this differently because we are all entitled to our own opinions. So to me I believe these to be great vows due to the simple fact that my fiance tells me constantly that he loves me with all of his heart body and soul.

    Thanks, Sally

    Sallysue 2008-02-14

  • Very Good

    I can understand why some do not get this, mostly because they do not know where it is coming from. They need to catch up on thier Bible to understand it. For those who would like to;

To Claim is to make it so. When you claim something it make it so in God's eyes.

LEARN WHAT YOUR READING BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!!!!!!!!

    Shawnta 2008-01-19

  • It is romantic.

I quite like the intensity of claiming love. It is like the couple's feelings are so strong that they demand the right to meld and merge together for all eternity; it's much better than an "until death" vow.
FYI---A vow is stronger than a purchase contract.

    Leatrice 2007-11-04

  • This is PERFECT

I've been looking for vows just like this forever. We're going to use them in our ceremony. Thank you!

    Abra 2007-09-29

  • stunning

these vows are very stunning and memrable. they are given by a man and women who truly understand the strong bound between man and women the way it should be. given so freely and so compleately that no other can ever touch and that is owning and loving.

    peggy 2007-08-29

  • terrible

it just dont sound like something that you would have at a wedding its really bad and it does have some controlling words in it.

    tammy 2007-08-15

  • I am guessing this is a tribute to Christine Feehan

Many people write Christine Feehan and ask if they can use these words in there Wedding as it is mostly from her books, almost word for word. If you read her you would understand how stong and loving it truly is...not anything other than that. She has had hundereds of people ask her to use this and she always looks at it as a compliment. I just thought people would like to know how she stands on this. Thank you for your time.
    Best,
    Manda R. Clarke
    Christine Feehan's Assistant

    Manda 2007-07-10

  • I claim my wife

These other reviewers are just obviously ones with drama. I am claiming my wife and she is claiming me. We like that fact. Jesus, get over your drama.

    Jeff 2007-06-28

  • Horrible yet funny

Wow, I didn't know that wedding vows could be bother frighteningly creepy and hilarious, until reading this little ditty. uck!

    Gloria 2007-06-21

  • Perfect..

I like it quite a bit also, for the same reasons as Chase. I might alter it to fit into that a bit more.. but.. this is great!

    Abigail 2007-06-20

  • I like it

See, I liked this one. I did recognize it as coming out of Christine Feehan's books, but I don't think it sounds like a business contract. Besides, doesn't it basically say the same thing some modern vows do? "All that I am and all that I have are yours..." Anyway, I like this one.

    Rhiannon 2007-05-15

  • Perfect

I am a sub and i am marrying my lover , friend and Dom this is perfect for us because he does own me and i am happy to give all i have to him

    Chase 2007-05-08

  • Beautiful

This is one of the best today I admire that you feel like that about someone was a sweet thing

    crystal loveless 2007-05-01

  • Cool

This is exactly what I was looking for. When I read them, I fell in love with those words. They have special meaning because they basically say that the reason why you are marrying this person, is because you cherish them just a little more than yourself, and that you hold them in high regard. That you love them just as much or maybe more than yourself. That to me, means something.

    Angel 2007-03-22

  • Could be viewed differently

My partner and I often joke about when we are married how we will 'own' the other. I could change the word 'claim' to 'own' to individualise our vows in adding some humor to them, as we both intend to add a little humor to our vows.

    Loretta 2006-12-04

  • Stuff that

This vow is terrible, it sounds like your signing some sort of purchase contract.

    Natasha 2006-01-23

  • rip off

This "I claim you" vow came straight out of Christine Feehan's romance novels. Check them out for yourself: Dark Guardian
    Dark Prince
    Dark Magic
Dark Gold...... they all have this. What a rip off, and how cheesy!!!

    anna 2005-09-28

  • The worst

This is the worst one I have read... I Claim you... that sounds like he or she owns you ... the wording is SO WRONG.
