Two Roads Become One Path

I, ________, take you, ________, to be my husband/wife. As we join our hands and hearts in marriage, the separate roads of our lives also join to make one path.

I promise, as your (husband/wife), to never walk too far ahead on our path and leave you behind, nor walk too slow and allow you to question my commitment.

If misfortune shall befall our path, I will encourage you and help guide you to prosperity.

If the path we walk becomes stricken with illness, I shall carry you and provide for you a caring touch.

I shall keep our path from becoming cumbersome or drab, for my love shall replenish you with each step of our journey.

And if my path should end before yours, I shall wait for you in the kingdom of heaven.

  • Thank You Lord

Okay, when I read this, I gave thanks to the Lord:

"I promise, as your (husband/wife), to never walk too far ahead on our path and leave you behind, nor walk too slow and allow you to question my commitment."

I will NEVER allow any woman to question my commitment! Expecially my wife! Thank you for finally putting up a wedding vow a MAN can stand and deliver.
