Love

I love almost everything about this apart from letting go where her children are concerned. Yes she should be patient and calm with them but also she should protect them fiercely. Everything apart from that not sure if I’m misinterpreting it though I love it in its entirety. These feel like they were written for me and my partner. I wonder what faith the minister is and if he is a Rabi? .

I have always wanted to do a personalized Vow, but reading this I have a feeling I want to do both-! This was so incredible and very special to me I would have to tweak a little(because I'm going to adopt children!) but it will be very special and Magical~!!!! Thank you.

I think this is a good base for a nice vow if you plan to write your own. Although I agree it's pretty old fashioned sexist & too much about giving birth. But cut out some lines & make it more like a WE thing instead of a HIM & HER thing...I think it would be very useful :) I'm just lookin for ideas to write my own, so thanks.

Oh my word.

I burst into tears when I read this. My husband and I are coming up on our 1st anniversary, we never had a wedding and we're doing a very non-traditional renewing of vows. I don't think I'll use all of this, but it's very powerful.

Not really sexist...

The only thing I saw that was potentially sexist was that it basically says the man will work and the woman raise the kids... Some people want that life, that doesn't make it sexist at all.
