I, ________, take thee ________, to be my wedded husband/wife,
and I do promise and covenant, before God and these witnesses,
to be thy loving and faithful wife/husband; in plenty and in want,
in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in
health, as long as we both shall live.

Presbyterian Wedding Vow Sample 2

"Do you, ________, take ________ to be your husband/wife? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect him/her, forsaking all others and holding only unto him/her?" ("I do")

(Repeat) "I ________, take thee ________, to be my husband/wife. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, and I promise my love to you.."

(Ring) With this ring, I thee wed; all my love, I do thee give."

    Is it safe to say that after a marriage of 30 years and 3 children, and her affair and divorce, she might have had her fingers crossed during her vows.
