They said we'd never make it,
But now we've come this far.
Today we celebrate our love
And honor who we are.
We had a hard beginning,
Adults before our time.
But growing up together made
Our deepest roots entwine.
You are my life, my love, my hope,
My friend, my world, my song,
The mirror of my unseen heart,
The place where I belong.
And as our one life passes,
Through love we live for two:
A cornucopia of joy
That we this day renew.

At only 19 & 23 and only 9 mths after first meeting " They said we'd never make it ".......fifty years of marriage later we are using this for our Golden Wedding renewal of vows ceremony in September !!

I love this and i will also be using it in my wedding I love me. Me and my partner met online and we lived more than 18 hours away... well he moved to arkansas and we have been together almost a year now and on Sep. 17 2010 we will be married and to all those people who are haters and say we wont make it i say F*ck you cause we did I love you Ryan

I used this poem for my Wedding in June 2009. Have been with my husband since I was 14 yrs old (he was 15) so it was the perfect choice for us. When we got married in June this year we had been together for nearly 13 years.
