  • The Art of a Marriage

    Roses are red
    Violets are blue
Don't talk about my failed marriages

    to the first comment,
how can you say with the teaching of god, there will be no hate?
when gay people, or lesbians are excluded from the church? is that not hate and selfishness? is that not going to cause more hate?
what about Muslims? are you friends with them? or atheists?
where there is religion, there will be hate.

  • Great Essay

There is no God. At least, not in the traditional Judeo - Christian or Muslim concept. It's a myth and perpetual lie forced upon you as an impressionable, defenseless child. We must rely on ourselves and hope that we one day learn to understand and harness the powers of the universe to preserve our species and live together in a viable, cooperative and decent society.

I first read this essay in the Ann Landers column nearly 30 years ago. I still love it and live by it.

  • God is love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

  • Almost Great

almost because I can live without the God reference... Otherwise it's great.
The first line was not true in my case. Our love was Fire that caught Friendship.

  • True meaning of working together

God this is a great saying about working together as one and loving!I truly see why marriages and relationships fail,if only people knew how to treat one another and know what each other need out of a relationship!

  • A Foundation for a Marriage

This is a great poem. It can not only be used for a wedding but it can relate to relationships in life. You can always count on its words to renew your strength during a difficult time.

  • The back bone of Life

This is a wonderfull poem if only we would use this as well as the teaching of God more often there would be no divorces or hate in the world.
