An on-going process Comments

  • Not the best

I feel the same way Paul. After reading it the first time, I was thinking it was decent, but as I read through the second time I really noticed how the speaker keeps saying they had all these opportunities to leave and the only reason they stayed is because their spouse was still meeting their needs.

Choosing a spouse IS, "final and irrevocable." Choosing a spouse isn't the same as choosing a friend. You can't just change your mind.

  • Poor Ending

The last line kills thi vow. "I still want to be by your side more than I want to be anywhere else". Sounds like your setteling for you marrage.

  • 1st time love

Marriage is the biggest step in life that you will have to make besides having children. I believe that you said it all in just little words but it meant alot to me because it's how I feel now about the love of my life. We will get married in april if I can get everything together and you inspired me to tie the knot even though I have some marriage jitters.

  • Honest Words

This is so true and honest. These are the words people want to hear. No one is perfect and challenges do come but if you can face the fact that here is where you want to be in spite of the challenges and you can still say I love you and want to be with you after 25 years WOW that is real and it speaks volumes to the spectator(s) If you can still be kind eventhough you are angry shows how much you are committed to making your marriage work. I will be using these words when we renew are vows in July which will celebrate 25 years of marriage. Thank you.

  • Goes down hill

You start out great, but when you start talking about how other choices have presented themselves and yet you chose to stay with your mate, you make sound as though they should be thankful that a better offer has not come along YET...

  • Perfect words

What a great, yet simple renewal vow. I marry friends as a minister, but I am most intrigued at the idea of a renewal ceremony with my husband of 10+ years and for my parents of 50+ years. :)
Thanks for this valuable web site.

  • Terrible

The fact you stay with your spouse only because of what they can do for you is entirely selfish. Marriage is all about what you can do for your spouse!
